Chinese Telecom Giants Ink Telecom Infrastructure Sharing Deal

Three Chinese telecom operators China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom have signed an agreement to share and co-construct telecommunications infrastructure, in compliance to an order issued by the China's MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology), the South China Morning Post reported on December 12. On December 11, the MIIT stated that three telecom operators' local subsidiaries would follow suit to sign similar agreements at the provincial level in three working days. Infrastructure includes telecom towers and lines, base stations, and transmission lines.
